Test Manager

In brief:

Prague (2x a week home office)
cooperation on a self-employed basis
allocation: long-term
start: ideally immediately, or in September, no later than 1 October 2026
It is necessary to actively speak Czech

The project is starting completely from scratch, and the role includes estimating workload and capacity as well as creating the entire testing strategy from the ground up.

Job responsibilities:

preparation of the testing strategy, plan, and management of testing activities
preparation of testing effort estimates for the assigned project
coordination and planning of activities within the assigned testing teams
participation in implementing changes and deploying new services and applications into the bank's information systems
participation in the defect management process, monitoring bug fix deadlines, follow-ups, and escalation of resolutions according to priorities
communication with project stakeholders and reporting testing status
ensuring oversight of planned changes introduced into the information systems
responsibility for the quality of deployed changes and ensuring that deployment will not have a negative impact on the operation of the bank, its
processes, and services for internal and external customers

Requirements:

experience working on a project with complex integrations and a large number of vendor teams (including external ones)
organizational and communication skills; proactively gathering information from individual project streams; organizing meetings, preparing meeting minutes, and tracking tasks
reporting the status of activities to project and line management; preparing presentations at the required level of detail; communicating with stakeholders
preparing the plan and managing testing activities, delivering efficiently, on time, and with the required quality
analytical and conceptual skills, coordinating the setup of QA processes on the project; flexibility
experience with transformation or migration projects, replacement of key systems

Nice to have:

experience with an implementation project focused on accounting (knowledge of reporting, financial reporting) – highly welcomed
knowledge of Zephyr Scale/Jira tools
knowledge of the banking environment and banking processes – specifically the Accounting and reporting area
