AI has moved beyond individual tools toward autonomous agents capable of independently planning and executing tasks. What does this mean for companies that want to actually deploy AI agents in operation — not just try them out as a demo?

Join us for the 4th annual Systeum Knowledge Hub, where three experts who approach agentic AI from different angles will come together: from enterprise practice, through corporate AI strategy, to a long-term anthropological perspective.

What does agentic AI look like in production, and how are companies preparing for it? Peter Krejzl, VP AI and Data at Emplifi, will show how his teams build production-grade agentic platforms with an emphasis on safety and reliability. Kateřina Lesch, Group AI Manager at Dr. Max, will present how AI strategy and large language models are being introduced across an international pharmaceutical group. Sara Polak, an archaeologist and technology strategist from the University of Oxford, will look at the rise of AI agents through the lens of 200,000 years of human adaptation to civilizational change.

As always, the Knowledge Hub isn't just one-way lectures, you'll have plenty of room for discussion with the speakers and networking with other attendees.

There will be time for questions and open discussion with the guests after each session.

The entire event will be held in Czech.

Kateřina Lesch

How do you set an AI strategy for an international pharmaceutical group, and why is deploying large language models in practice much more than just a technical question?

Kateřina Lesch, Group AI Manager at Dr. Max, will show the path from text analytics and forensic data analysis to the real-world deployment of LLMs across the entire group.

As Group AI Manager at Dr. Max, she leads AI strategy across an international pharmaceutical group and brings experience ranging from text analytics and forensic data analysis to the practical deployment of large language models. She previously led AI and data teams at Ataccama, Deloitte, and the PPF group (EmbedIT), where as Director of the AI & Data division she headed a team of roughly sixty people. In her academic and client work, she focuses on natural language processing and machine learning on large datasets. Computerworld magazine named her among the IT Personalities of 2022.

Peter Krejzl

What does building agentic AI in a production enterprise environment look like, and why is it not just a technical discipline, but an organizational and strategic one as well?

Peter Krejzl, VP AI and Data at Emplifi, will offer a look at how his teams are building Emplifi Fuel AI, a production agentic platform based on collaboration between multiple AI agents, with an emphasis on the trust layer, guardrails, and observability.

As VP AI and Data at Emplifi, he leads teams covering research, MLOps, data engineering, and product development, and helps shape the technical roadmap for a global MarTech platform. In recent years his work has centered on agentic systems. He is behind the development of Emplifi Fuel AI, a production agentic platform built on an architecture of multiple collaborating agents, designed for enterprise operation with an appropriate level of reliability and governance. He has also built an in-house RAG infrastructure, scaled MLOps practices, and managed a data platform on the order of petabytes. He is also the author of Emplifi AI Composer, a GenAI solution awarded Best Text Generative AI Solution at the AI Breakthrough Awards 2023, competing against more than 3,200 nominations from over 20 countries.

Sara Polak

What can 200,000 years of human adaptation to change tell us about coping with the rise of AI agents?

Sara Polak, an archaeologist, anthropologist, and technology strategist, connects historical data on human survival with the current challenges of automation and artificial intelligence. She'll show why it's essential not to lose sight of the human factor when adopting AI, and will share experiences from working with multinational companies.

Sara is an archaeologist, anthropologist, and technology strategist who studies patterns of human adaptation to civilizational change. She connects 200,000 years of data on human survival with the modern challenges of AI, automation, and technological change. She is a Research Associate at the School of Archaeology at the University of Oxford, where she focuses on decentralized science, and is also a technology strategist at CTU CIIRC (Czech Technical University). She works with companies such as SAP, Deloitte, Dell, Amazon, Konica Minolta, and EY on the strategic adoption of technology with an emphasis on the human factor. She has been named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list and is an elected member of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA).
